Mountain Hardwear MesaTM Pant Review

They are great active pants. Perform as advertised, though not as comfortable as the higher end competition. Material isn't quite as soft. The sizing is a little off. I bought a small, which normally my 5'5, 135 frame fits rather well. Unfortunately, Mountain Hardwears idea of small is 32 x 32. On me the pants are a little long, no big deal. And surprisingly with the built in belt the waist fit is fine.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase - I just think they need to rethink their S,M,L specs. In athletic wear I would assume 32 x 32 is closer to Medium than Small.

Kryptonite Evolution 4 1055 Mini 21.5" Review

I've owned this lock for about 6 months and I can say that it's a very versatile and sturdy chain lock.

VERSATILITY: I was worried it would be too short to be able to lock the frame, rear wheel and front wheel(removable) all at once, but if you put them tightly you can lock them all to a regular city bike post rather quickly. The fact that this is a chain lock makes it easier to lock your bike in unexpected and difficult places where a regular U-lock could not. To carry it in your bike, you can simply put it on the handle bar and it's well balanced.

WEIGHT: It only weights 2 kilos, which is the same as the New York Lock Standard or any decent U-lock.

SAFETY: On a safety/deterrent level, it's 8/10 on the Kryptonite scale, which is very high and only one level below the New York Lock Standard. You'd need rather large tools/power tools to cut this lock. Thieves are likely to move on to bikes with weaker locks.

QUALITY: Manufacturing quality is truly superior. The only problem I encountered was that sometimes the lock would not open in very cold weather (I would not be able to turn the key). This is because dirt/ice forms between moving parts and "glue" them together. If this happens and you force the key you will break it. You need to clean it with WD-40 and then on top of that lube it with a teflon/paraffin lubricant. WD-40 is NOT a lubricant but only a cleaning agent. Too many people rate bike locks negatively because of this, which is rather idiotic. If you break your key it is nobody's fault except yours. Locking mechanism must be kept clean and lubricated. Bike locks are not magic and they don't clean by themselves. Read the instructions.

THEFT INSURANCE: It comes with the Kryptonite theft insurance but here's the catch: if they also steal your lock, then Kryptonite will not pay your bike nor the lock. You must send Kryptonite your broken lock in order to claim theft insurance.

God bless the NHL lock out and Amazon's blow out of NHL hoodies and sweatshirts last week. Picked this hoodie up in both Blue and Heather Grey. Nice embroidered logo on the front, medium weight hoodie (heavier than Old Navy type, thinner than LL Bean type) and loose comfortable fit. Sleeve length is a little on the long side (good for me at 6'4") as well as the body length. I normally wear an "XL Tall" but the "2 XL" fits great. Used my wife's amazon account for this: I'm 6'3 235, and normally wear size XL shirts. I looked at the sizing chart for Columbia, measured myself and was in the parameters for an XL. After receiving it, I am returning it for an XXL. Fit was way too tight in the shoulders and underarms.
My advice is to order it a size larger than normal.
