I just got this knife (the Ripple 2), and so far it's great. I've heard that Colombia River has had quality issues in the past, but this knife seems to be well made. The Ken Onion design is quite unique looking - actually that's the main reason I wanted it - knife geek bling. From the manufacturer it comes quite sharp with a nicely polished edge; not shaving sharp, but better than most I've had. I can't comment yet on how well the blade keeps it's edge, so we'll have to wait and see on that. The liner lock seems to be sturdy, but I'm not sure how it would stand up to hard use, but this is a small knife, so that shouldn't be an issue. One nit I have is the flipper used to open the blade, the point on it is a little sharp and digs against the finger used to open it. I'll probably try a little very fine grit sandpaper to smooth that edge lightly. The liner lock has a ball bearing that holds the blade in the closed position which seems to promote the little digs mentioned above, but is useful. There is not really an option for opening any way besides the flipper, no thumb stud and the blade is beveled on top and fairly recessed in the handle. The opening is very quick and also very quiet. The belt/pocket clip can only attach on one side, but for me that's not a problem. The handles seem to provide a good grip, no slipping of any kind yet. It's also thinner than I thought it would be, which I like. All in all, I'm quite pleased with it.Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Columbia River Knife and Tool's Ken Onion Ripple K400KXP Razor Edge Knife" are high quality item.
