Length:: 2:59 Mins3rd time is the charm!! First I ordered the women's Osprey verve 10 s/m, too small in ci and in comfort. Then I tried the Osprey raptor 10 a little bigger with better zipper access but still not right to fit all my gear. The following quick video is just an example of items you can stuff into it, and not what I usually carry but will work for this review. I find the pack quite comfortable without using the hip belt for my commute to work. As for hip belt pocket complaints of items falling out, I found that small "snap" buttons work fine, are secure and don't take up any pocket space to install, will include photo's of those. You can also use Velcro for a quick fix. I really like the pack, it is the perfect size for me, not too big or too tight, the extra pocket in the middle really makes the pack. The mesh compartments in this pocket are bigger and only having 2 works better in relation to large pocket with 1 mesh pocket and two pump pockets. I didn't think my pump (Topeak Turbo Morph Bike Pump with Gauge)13 3/4" would fit as it's kind large but wow, it did, with room left at top! I could fit more gear than I usually take on a daily basis. Where is the bladder you ask??? well didn't want to remove it and risk barreling of pack so I just tucked in the drinking tube so it's there if I need it. I did remove it to use the space as an additional pocket but it did barrel. And actually if you do over pack it it does barrel with an empty bladder, found that out yesterday riding to work! ;) That will teach me to not bring things I don't need!
Got it for $66.00 and worth it. Per an email to Osprey due to conflicting info from site to site on spec's, here's what they said: "Raptor series it is 19" and above would be M/L and below 19" is a S/M. The measurements just show the dimensions and are not directly related to sizing. 854ci is accurate for the M/L and 732ci is accurate for the S/M as it is 2" shorter in height." Hope that clears up any questions as the web sire only shows one overall size of 18 x 10 x 10. Wish I knew would have gotten the s/m instead of the m/l for my shorter torso, but it still works ok. Video is a little short due to poor editing on my part, :) still learning, ha ha, but gave it a shot so you can see how much you can fit into it. So hopefully you don't have to buy/return 3 before getting the size you need. The material is typical of hiking packs with ripstop nylon and the color is great as far as the red, it's wow, red. The front stretchy pocket is ok but not a big fan as I think it will stretch out after time and be baggy looking, but hopefully I'm wrong. The soft pocket on top has a more rigid back as it right up against the frame for bladder. I'm a Gregory pack fan, love their suspension very comfortable to wear for long periods. It's not really too big of a deal on a pack this small, not sure on Airscape system as the pack is right up against my back unlike Gregory which have a space between you & the pack. Will take getting use to I guess as it's not uncomfortable just different.
Bottom Line: Well constructed pack with Great zipper pulls, well thought out organizational pockets, with lots of storage and still small enough to be a comfortable ride, on sale worth every penny! Enjoy! Uploaded more photo's with measurements so take a peak!
