This is an excellent jacket, not too bright and styled very nicely. It is very warm also, I have yet to fully try it out, but from trying it on I can tell it does the job well.

With regard to folding into a neck pillow, it doesn't take more than a minute or two to fully stuff it into its pillow form. It is a very soft and comfortable pillow too, my family was impressed and all wanted one of their own!

Hurricane Redbone Spinning Rods Review

the Hurricane Redbone spinning rod is a very solid rod, which I purchased on Amazon primarly due to availibity and price point. I had my concerns, simply because in the 2nd customer service comment section, the purchaser experiend the same dang experience that I did; Excellent Amazon listing, super good pricing as in regard to national retial adverised price, and this part is where it get's ugly, Free Shipping and Handling, not so much? with out a doubt the China buillt Redbone rod is what it is, it's just the horrible look on your face when you get home from a long 12 hour day at work,and your brand new Hurricane spinning rod, is sandwiched between to flimsy long striops of cardboard, taped half a-- together with some cheap, clear, brittle opacking tape, I knew i for sure, I was totally "screwed" you betcha; the very end of the brand new rod was snapped off/ broken just as pretty as you please, between the 1st and 2nd guides. Of course, my first reaction was wanting to resend? that same destroyed spinning rod back to it's original numb nuts sneder, and stick it so far up there non business rump, so what do we do, broken rod, now 6 inches shorter than orignally built, and no end guide, no braid, no fishy, No deal. reat rod, great price, great customer service before and during purchase, once they got your money, they don't give a crap that your purchase will arrive at your door step, damaged. just got to love it!

Banjo Brothers Waterproof Quick-Release Handlebar Bag Review

Update 7/22/2011 - I have now owned this bag for a year and have toured with it once. Will do another tour with it in about a month. My opinion of it has not changed - great little bag. My original review follows:

First a qualifier: I bought the Banjo Brothers Waterproof Quick-Release Handlebar Bag to use while touring but I haven't done a tour since buying it. I have only used it for day rides so far, none of them in rain yet. Even so, this bag has met my expectations and I have no reason to believe it won't perform perfectly fine on tour and/or in the rain. I have owned it for approximately 6 months.

I wanted a handlebar bag that was waterproof, preferably with the lid that closes over the top of the bag overlapping the sides, as this one does. Ortlieb also makes one that closes this way. There are some other bags out there that are advertised as waterproof, but only by means of a removable waterproof cover. I didn't want to have to be stopping and putting a cover on my handlebar bag every time it threatened rain, so this one fit the bill.

I was a little nervous about purchasing this because it is significantly less expensive than Ortlieb's version and I was afraid it wouldn't be well made. I was pleasantly surprised, however. The material and stitching seems adequately durable, as does the handlebar mount. I do wonder if the mount, which is plastic, will deteriorate due to UV exposure over the years, but I believe Ortlieb's is like this as well, so no difference there from what I can tell. In fact, this mount also has the cable that wraps over the stem to prevent downward rotation, like Ortlieb's.

I like the fact that this bag included the removable map holder as well as a shoulder strap. The map holder is optional with the Ortlieb bag, adding even more to its cost. This bag also has mesh pockets on the sides for storing small items that won't be hurt by rain.

One main difference between this bag and Ortlieb's is the material from which they're made. Ortlieb uses a PVC material similar (or maybe identical, not sure) to a dry bag, which is waterproof on the exterior. This bag is made from 840 denier fabric, which appears quite durable but is not waterproof itself. The bag is made waterproof via an interior plastic liner which is removable and replaceable. It seems sufficiently durable to not need replacing very often, if at all, and the liner poses no problems in the general usage of the bag.

All in all, I think this bag is a great value.

The Picnic Time PT-XL camp chair is excellent...absolutely excellent. My spouse and I are heavy people, and he is a 6'2" heavy person with a very painful arthritic back; no lifting, no standing for any time at all. I have been looking for a chair that will support him safely, recline slightly for a pain free back, enable him to stand up with firm support from the arms of the chair, be able to shift his feet without hitting the folding part of the chair behind his legs, and not have the front corners of the chair dig into his thighs as he's sitting. THIS IS IT...THE CHAIR WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!! We immediately gave our other two folding camp chairs to our neighbors. This chair's arms are low, and husbands arms do not rest on them when sitting, but he says the chair cradles him enough that he can comfortably rest his arms on his stomach or thighs.
