Galati Gear Rifle Case (Black, 37-Inch) Review

Bought the 46" for my AR-10 with scope. The case is very well made, very well padded, stiffness in all the right places, BUT.... the mag pouches (one of the reasons why I bought it) are worthless. They are way too small to fit any rifle mag other than a .22 or a 9mm. What good are the pouches if you can't use them? I didn't think about that when I bought it since Armalite sells the same bag on their website, one woud think since they make .223 and .308 rifles the darn pouches are big enough for their mags...... guess not.
CONCLUSION: I'm looking around for a comprable bag, if found this baby is going back no matter how much I like the case itself.

EDIT: Looked on Armalite's web site again about the bag.. they claim a .223 mag will fit.... don't see how since the pouches are small and I don't have a .223 mag to test it.

Emailed Galati International about the small pouches.
Here's the reply:

"Hello Mr Yocum,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We checked, and it looks like on the last production run, they did make the mag pouches a bit smaller in error.
It will be addressed in our next production run, but unfortunately that is not scheduled until the end of July/early August."

I asked if they has a .308 version

"No, we don't offer a different version. However, the older versions of this case did fit the .308 mags. And the next production run will fit the .308 mags as well.
If you can wait, we can just switch it out for you when we do our next production run. However, it won't be until the end of summer."

Guess I'll put the bad back in the box and wait to get it replaced by them directly, instead of dealing with shipping it back to Amazon.com get a refund and then repurchase it from Galati International.
