I bought this to use in my backyard pool. My pool is medium-sized and kidney shaped. The suction cups stick to the border tiles (the ones inside the pool at the upper edge) and hold very well. Since my border tiles are not smooth, I had to use the enclosed kit to adhere the four, clear plastic plates to my border tiles. It was super easy and everything you need is included in the kit. The plates are very thin and are not noticable once they are installed. I have really enjoyed having the ability to swim in place instead of making a lot of short laps over and over. I love that the inflatable belt lets you swim face down or face up, just by turning the belt around. The wrist and ankle straps also provide a good resistance work out. I would definitely recommend this product - it works exactly as it is described and it is so easy to use!
