After a few hours of wearing the Brett Favre Premier Vikings jersey, followed by close inspection & comparison to my other jerseys, I am pleased with my purchase.I opted for the Premier because I wanted something with higher quality than the standard "Replica" jerseys, but just couldn't justify spending somewhere in the neighbourhood of $300 for an Authentic Minnesota Vikings jersey. As much as I love Brett Favre, I'm still a Packers fan too!
Assuming that you're in a similar position and want something nicer than a Replica but aren't willing to get a second mortgage to pay for an Authentic, here's what you can expect to receive from the Premier jersey. (For those of you who want to better understand all of your options, I've included a detailed explanation of the three different types of jerseys at the end of this review.)
The fabric is thicker and slightly more comfortable than the Replica version. The Premier lacks the form-fitting elastic of the Authentic, but still seems to fit better than the Replica. The most obvious improvement, though, is that the lettering is sewn on as opposed to screen printed. This is a huge plus for me since the lettering on most of my Replica jerseys has cracked and worn away with use. However, I'll be curious to see how the stitching holds up, as the lettering material does not seem to be very high quality. Additionally, the team lettering and logo are still screen-printed, which causes a minor stylistic clash, but more importantly still poses the risk of wear-away.
Overall, don't expect the Premier to compete with the Authentic, but when compared to the Replica the Premier seems to be worth the minimal added expense. You'll get a nicer look and better durability without spending a whole lot more.

A word about availability...
Brett Favre is a hot commodity and naturally his jersey is in high demand. This leads to two things: 1) Supply Shortages and 2) Scams. Rather than get into a lengthy discussion of the rhymes and reasons behind this phenomenon, I'll simply say "Buyer Beware". Several other reviewers have referenced negative experiences with their purchases. When choosing where to purchase your jersey just ask yourself if the amount you're saving from the "unknown" seller is worth the risk that you may wind up without your money or a jersey. Also, Amazon offers a wonderful seller feedback system- use it!
As for other sources, over the course of about a month and a half I have observed that both [...] and [...] will carry all three versions, with the important caveat that the Authentic is almost never in stock, and the Premier comes and goes like the tides. It appears that when a particular version is out of stock, rather than post "out of stock" they simply don't list it on the site, which can give the incorrect impression that the item doesn't exist at all. I have personally seen all three at one time or another, so they do exist. As of this writing, the retail prices are as follows: Replica ~$80, Premier ~$110, and Authentic ~$260. (If you've just got to have an Authentic, you can also order a "custom" Authentic with Brett Favre's details for a whopping ~$315)

NFL Jersey Buyer's Guide:
[...]
Below is my personal experience, having owned all three:
Replica (~$80): These are your basic, everyday jerseys. The material is thin and the player numbers/names are screen printed. While the major downside is that the screen printing can tend to crack and wear off over time, a Replica jersey is obviously the most cost-effective way to show your team or player pride. (Sizing is based on the standard S, M, L, XL, etc)
Premier (~$110): These are a relatively new addition to the line-up and bridge the gap between the economy-class Replica and luxury-class Authentic. The fabric is definitely of higher quality than the replica and, more importantly, the player numbers are sewn-on as opposed to screen printed. However, some elements like the team logo may still be screen-printed. I also noticed that the material used for the stitched-on lettering seems vastly inferior to that of the Authentic jerseys. While this is understandable given the pricing structure, I think I'll spring for the Authentic in the future. That said, if you want more durable lettering but don't want to fork out the hefty fee for an Authentic, the Premier is a nice option. (Sizing is based on the standard S, M, L, XL, etc)
Authentic (~$190+): The Authentic jersey is the cream of the crop. It is essentially what the players wear. The fabric is thicker, softer, more comfortable, and more durable. The player name, number, and team logo are all sewn on using high quality materials. Everything about an Authentic jersey screams "Quality". And, of course, with quality comes price. They start at $190 and can be much more, depending on the player. In my opinion, though, if you can afford one it's worth every penny. In addition to looking much nicer they hold up better, which means less possibility of needing a replacement. (Sizing is based on chest measurement, i.e. 48, 50, 52, etc. and run large as they are designed to accommodate shoulder pads. The NFL.com has a complete size comparison chart to help you choose.)
