I travel around the world and am very careful about what to pack. I have tried all brands for all sorts of events; some are good and some are not. In my experience, those brands (North Face, Colombia, Mountain Hardwear, Marmot) are hit or miss. Sometimes the fit is good, sometimes tight, sometimes loose. Sometimes the quality is great, sometimes it's cheap. Sometimes the product is too heavy for travel or too cheap looking for public wear. BUT, Ex Officio is consistently excellent. This sweater fits my experiences perfectly. Fit is precise, quality is great, and it looks excellent. Oh, I also like Ex Officio's colors (except the Storm Logic Jackets, those colors are from outer space and are not worn by adult males). In any event, this is a superb product at home, on the road, or traversing some unusual location. It's lightweight, but quality made. It even has a chest pocket that's hidden, although, I don't use it for anything other than some small items otherwise is just looks weird. A+ in every category.
