The high riding Silhouette holster is constructed of premium saddle leather and is made to fit belts up to 1 3/4". I bought this holster in black for my 3" 686+ as well. Concealed carry is impossible in my state, but I wanted a high ride OWB holster; easier to get a good grip when it rides high.

Pros:
-Draws very well; nothing catches on the gun or the sights.
-Thumb break very responsive to actuation.
-Quality leather and solid construction.
-Accommodates 586/686 of every barrel length.

Cons:
-Guns with shorter barrels or heavy grips may not tuck in properly.
-Thumb break snap button does not line up well; takes a bit of fumbling to get it back in. (Does not affect draw.)
-New leather creaks a lot. I recommend using a leather conditioner or some baby powder on the contact points (DO NOT OVERDO!)

Would recommend if you are looking for a nice OWB holster that can handle a variety of barrel lengths, especially longer barrels. If you are intending to carry a snub-nosed revolver concealed without bulky clothing, I would recommend getting a heavy duty gun belt and looping this belt OVER the holster so that it is sandwiched between belt and pants.
