I purchased this for myself to replace the Leatherman PST2 that my wife commandeered for her purse. I'm a rather picky person when it comes to my tools and I honestly feel the Wave is perfection in every conceivable way when it comes to multi-tools. I find it so vastly superior to the PST2 that I'm tempted to purchase one for my wife.
It's as if they addressed every complaint received from the PST and other Leatherman multi-tools and improved the strong points along the way.

I use this at work quite often, as do others who know I have it on my belt. It's robust and appears precision made, using space in the most effective of ways. Due to this, it's a bit on the heavy side and rides better in a belt sheath than a pocket.

I've had my Wave for about a year now and have used it to do everything from adjusting a carburetor to repairing a buddy's glasses (yes, it even includes a tool with tiny flat and phillip heads for eye glasses). Heaven forbid, if I ever were to lose the Wave I have now, I would replace it with another without hesitation or research of other units; it's that good.

Granted, it's not inexpensive, but it's no $9.99 generic multi-tool made in China, either. Depending on your shopping prowess, you'll have to dish out 70 to 90 clams to own one. However, considering the quality, American manufacture and substantial engineering using high-grade materials, consider it an investment. It's entirely possible you'll find yourself still using it 20 years from now.

As far as I'm concerned, the Wave is the multi-tool perfected.
